Dancing Towards Wellbeing
4:00 PM - 5:00 PMAbstract
Queensland Ballet uses dance as a tool to enrich lives and positively impact the health and wellbeing of people throughout Queensland.
In this interactive session, Queensland Ballet’s Dance Health team will guide you through a gentle, active movement workshop, demonstrating how tailored dance programs can enhance and benefit the physical and mental wellbeing of class participants of varied backgrounds, ages and individual needs.
You will gain a deeper understanding of the variety of programs that Queensland Ballet delivers in the community, both at their home in the West End and in health facilities in Brisbane and across the state.
The Dance Health team will share the key benefits and outcomes of these research backed initiatives and leave you with information on how health professional and organisations can engage with these programs.
